Mr. Webb was Director of Information Systems for the U.S. Renal Data System (USRDS) Coordinating Center from 1988 to 1999. In 1999 the USRDS database included data on about 1 million ESRD patients going back to 1977 and on 350 million Medicare claims. Data on kidney transplants from the Health Care Financing Administration (HCFA) and the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS) also were included.
