Vice President for Research

The University Renal Research and Education Association (URREA), a not-for-profit health policy, economics and outcomes research foundation in Ann Arbor, Michigan, seeks a VICE PRESIDENT for Research.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Supervising and directing research staff at URREA regarding analyses, reports and manuscripts.
  
• Exploring, developing and implementing research plans and project proposals
  with foundations, corporations, and federal agencies.
  
• Representing URREA and its research at committees and major national and international medical scientific meetings.

Qualifications:

• Doctoral level (M.D. or Ph.D.) required; with substantial experience in health outcomes, healthcare policy, epidemiological and/or medical research and familiarity with kidney disease and/or organ transplantation.
  
• Successful experience (7-10 years) in planning and securing major projects in healthcare research analysis from foundations, corporations, and federal agencies.
  
• Excellent communication skills with funding sources, healthcare researchers, physicians and media.
  
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  
• Successful coordination and participation in research team efforts.
  
• Prior publications in peer reviewed journals.
