The DOPPS is coordinated by the University Renal Research and Education Association (URREA) in collaboration with investigators in each of the DOPPS countries (Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, New Zealand, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States). URREA is a non-profit organization, located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, focused on conducting health-outcomes research utilizing a multidisciplinary approach with expertise in epidemiology, biostatistics, medicine, and health economics.
Assisting with the DOPPS data management internationally, URREA has contracted two research organizations, Quintiles Transnational Corp. and DMG Initiatives, Inc. Quintiles and DMG provide clinical research associates in Europe, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand to assist participating dialysis units in data collection. In addition, Kirin Brewery Co., Ltd. and the Moss Institute provide the DOPPS data management in Japan.
