Internationally respected not-for-profit health outcomes research foundation is looking for a Programmer with strong background in analytic data manipulation to lead a team supporting epidemiologic, health policy, and health economics research.
Duties include:
Supervision of a team of programmers whose duties include: preparation of large files for analysis; building large,
modular programs for generating statistical reports; working with researchers/biostatisticians to implement statistical
concepts in a variety of output formats; programming support for study management. Communicating with customers and
members of the public and medical communities about statistical concepts.
Experience:
BA/BS plus 8 years (or MA/MS plus 4 years) increasingly responsible experience in computing field, preferably in
health-related research. Extensive SAS experience necessary, including data step processing and familiarity with a range
of data manipulation and statistical procedures, SAS Macro facility; substantial SQL (ORACLE or MS-SQLServer), including
database design and implementation. Successful demonstration of integration of different data tools (SAS or SQL) with
each other and with MS Office programs.
Visual Basic, VBA, and statistical research methods helpful. Experience in social science research (economics, public policy, public health). Must possess proven, excellent verbal and written skills. Must have the ability to meet deadlines and perform under pressure.
