Dr. Distant is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at the SUNY Health Science Center at Brooklyn, Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at New York University School of Medicine, and Attending Surgeon at Kings County Hospital Center. His expertise is in kidney transplantation. Dr. Distant is a member of the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network (OPTN) Minority Affairs Committee and the New York Regional Transplant Program.
