Comments for Center: Good Samaritan Regional Medical Ctr, Phoenix, AZ
Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center has the largest and oldest renal transplant program in the state of Arizona. In March, 1998 we opened the pancreas program and have since performed 52 Simultaneous Kidney-Pancreas transplants (through June 10, 2002). The demographic characteristics of our KP waitlist and transplant recipients are reflective of the state's Type I diabetic ESRD population. As presented in the tables, graft and patient survival are above what is expected considering the risk factors of our patients. Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center continually strives to improve our program to better serve our community.
