Friedrich Port, MD, MS
President
Dr. Port is president of Arbor Research Collaborative for Health and professor emeritus of Medicine (nephrology) and
Epidemiology at the University of Michigan Schools of Medicine and Public
Health where he taught for 27 years. He was the director of the Michigan Kidney
Registry from 1984 to 1994, deputy director of the USRDS Coordinating Center
from 1988 to 1999, and co-director of the University of Michigan Kidney
Epidemiology and Cost Center from 1993 to 2002. Dr. Port is a prominent member
of the renal research community and has a national and international reputation
for medical outcomes research. His specialties include clinical epidemiology,
transplantation, and dialysis.
