STAC: Tom Greene, PhD (Emeritus Member)

Tom Greene, PhD, is professor in the Division of Clinical Epidemiology, Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Utah School of Medicine. He conducts research on statistical methods for randomized clinical trials, longitudinal data analysis, and on the validation and use of surrogate endpoints. He directs the statistical analyses for several multi-center clinical trials sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, including the African American Study of Kidney Disease and Hypertension, the Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis Study, and the trials of the Frequent Hemodialysis Network. Dr. Greene also directs the statistical analyses for the Collaborative Study Group, which is an international consortium of investigators who conduct industry sponsored clinical trials in patients with chronic kidney disease. Dr. Greene is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, American Statistical Association, and Biometric Society, and serves on several Advisory Committees. He is also an Associate Editor of the Journal of the American Society of Nephrology.
