Dr. Fant is a health statistician assigned to the Division of Transplantation, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. He, also, serves as the project officer for the Scientific Registry of Transplant Recipients. In this capacity, Dr. Fant maintains and cultivates working relationships with the OPTN and SRTR contractors, Secretary’s Advisory Committee on Organ Transplantation, DHHS, and the academic community. Since joining the Federal Civil Service in 1997, Dr. Fant has served as a Federal statistician in the Epidemiology and Data Analysis Branch, HIV/AIDS Bureau, HRSA; Department of Clinical Investigation, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, U.S. Department of Defense; and the Bureau of the Census, U.S. Department of Commerce. Dr. Fant earned his doctorate from the University of Nebraska.
